3 year old refuses to poo in potty

So my 3 and a half (almost) year old refuses to poo on the potty/toilet. If she needs a poo she asks for a nappy. Now she has been peeing on the potty for probably a year, and very rarely has accidents, we just can't seem to get over this last hurdle. It's not that she isn't able to, she just doesn't want to. The back story is that she has suffered from constipation and although it is mostly under control with medication it was very bad for a while there and I think it's very related to that. I will always give her a nappy if she wants one as otherwise she holds it in and just makes the constipation worse. We are currently unashamedly bribing her to do it but it isn't working! Any tips please?

How about an open nappy on the potty? I have been where you are now - dd now 11 - and I did not think this would end or we would find a way through it.
Keep asking on here and, just so you know, anyone who says this is/was easy is lying.
Blowing bubbles, real or imaginary, helps with the muscle movement. Even now, for a laugh, my dd likes to pretend she is blowing an enormous bubble which "captures" me. I can only pop it if I morph into our cat and ping out a claw.
Gin is good for you. Or wine. Or tea. Whatever you need Grin
