This is DS3 so I kind of thought I knew what to do - DS1 was sorted at about 2.5 with the odd accident, and DS2 was even quicker, started taking his nappy off at a little over 2 years old. But DS3, who is linguistically probably the most advanced of the three at this age (3 years 1 month) is really not good with potty training. He's mostly got wee, but poo is a real problem. He's never had much of a rhythm, so I don't have the option of just putting him on the potty at a certain time of day. Whenever he has to poo, it seems to completely take him by surprise, and even if he's standing next to the potty with nothing on, he doesn't always manage to sit down and do it there. Has anyone else had this, and did it sort itself out in time, or did you have to take action in some way? Bribing etc. is not working - he is very susceptible to bribery but he doesn't seem to feel what's happening in time. I was really hoping to crack this before the end of the summer break, as it's much harder to spend time watching him and helping him once we are back in the work-school-nursery routine.
Thanks in advance for any pointers!
