Feeling like a failure

My DS is nearly 6 years old and has accidents in the day and hardly ever has a dry night.
His not bothered about wetting himself and won't tell anyone when he does.
We've been to the wet nurse and done everything she said- no dark or citrus drinks, no drinks 2 hours before bed, drink more water in the day, send him toiket every 2 hours, reward charts etc and nothing seems to work.

He promises everyday not to do it but still does it anyway.
He doesn't get embarrased when someone notices him at school, holiday club, friends and families.
I feel like I've tried everything and still failing.
It feels like everyone child around me is perfect and I have failed him. His the only child I know that still wets himself at nearly 6 years old, day & night.
I don't want to put him on medication but don't know what else to do.
Someone did suggest alarm pants but I can't afford £100 for them
