Has anyone got any advice?

I potty trained ds age 3yo 1mp 7 weeks ago. It all went ok and he's more or less dry now those guys he is still having 1-2 wee accidents a week.

Poos however have no gone well at all, he started off pooing in the potty for the first few days, then it became a bit hit and miss but he come and tell me if he's had an accident.

Now we've got to the point where he's just pooing in his pants every time and denying it.

I don't make a fuss when he does it, I just say oh dear please try to do your poos on the toilet.

Sometimes I can tell he needs to go and I keep getting him to sit on the toilet but he just gets up and says he can't do it then goes off and does it in his pants.

This is my life. There was a stage a for a few weeks if he wasn’t wearing any clothes he’d hop up on the toilet and do a poo but je’s Completely regressed from
That. No advice just sympathy.

I don't want to count my chickens because this is only going a bit better for me, but I had the same problem and thought that it was cos she didn't really understand what was involved in pooing.

So I did a trick that they recommend in 'Oh Crap', where you out some play dough in your hand, make a fist and then squeeze the play dough out of the hole in your fist. It comes out in a vaguely poo shape and you tell them that this is what poo looks like and you have to squeeze it out.

I also made a much bigger deal out of my own poos when I was in the loo with her. Blush Not my finest hour, but I thought she needed to understand that this was something you sit down and make happen, not just something that dropped out of your bum randomly.

She has been much better since then, but that was only at the weekend and I've learned to take nothing for granted in this potty training game.
