Hi

My DS is 3 (turned in March) and I really feel that he is ready for potty training, he can tell us when he has had a wee, hides to do a poo (but still tells us) is happy to sit on the toilet and potty and do both..........

The issue I have is that he absolutely refuses to wear pants. We have tried all different styles, all different pictures on them, having him choose them, having them bought for him, nothing works.

Has anyone come across this before? How did you overcome it?

Ds was like this. Wouldn't even wear a pull up. Will he wear pants over his nappy for a bit to get used to it?

We just put the pants in his drawer and occasionally suggested he try them, one day he just came round to the idea.

The other thing you could try is to stay home for a weekend and have him go commando and get him to wee on the potty, the pants could come later when he's got used to the idea of not having a nappy.

Thank you, he isn't interested in pull ups (causes a tantrum if it's even mentioned to put one on!) We have loads of pants, will keep asking. He won't go naked - he just cries and wants a nappy on ...... will keep pushing forward
