How to introduce knickers

My dd2 (just turned 3) has been a very reluctant potty trainer. She initially got very upset about the idea of not wearing a nappy, but I've had a bit of a breakthrough recently and with some gentle encouragement I've managed to get her comfortable being nappy free and using the potty (for the most part). But I followed the approach of not using underwear and she's still getting upset if I suggest she wears any. Don't know why. Any tips? Today she's commando under loose leggings but I don't know how long nursery will be happy with this as if she does have an accident it's obviously a bit messy, plus not that hygeinic if she's wearing a dress.

Has she been shopping to buy some? Peppa usually wins

She did choose her current ones but that was a while ago as she then went through a period of being reluctant and I left it. I'll try getting her to choose again I guess. Is there a physical shop that would have lots of different characters to choose from? I have ordered some unicorn ones from the internet

The supermarkets usually have a good choice. I'd let her go and choose tho

Is just put the on her and tell her she wears knickers now.

It's hard to know how firm to be Gower as I don't want to undo all my good work! Dd1 was a nightmare to potty train too but in a different way and ended up stool withholding which took years to undo so I'm a bit nervous! At the same time I ended up having to be a bit firm about the no nappy and each day she's had a bit of protest and then accepted it

Cool. I'll hunt out h and m or a big Tesco tomorrow. Our local one doesn't have clothes. Sainsbury's does but I don't know if they have Peppa ones, which is what she would probably choose (or unicorns). She has princess ones which she chose but she's actually not that bothered about princesses.

My daughter is 2yrs 7months and if i say "you need to do a wee wee on the toilet" she will then run to the toilet and does a wee and had also done a poo quite a few times, but she doesn't tell me when she needs to go to the toilet so she's still in nappies, the problem is she's big for her age and the only nappies that fit her are Huggies Pj Pants in 4-7 years but they are even getting too tight round her legs now, and they only sell them in packs of 10 so is costing me a bomb. How do i get her to tell me when she needs the toilet? She starts nursery in September and everyone is telling me she needs to be out of nappies by then and its really stressing me out!

Sainsburys do have peppa pig ones just so you know.

MummyFaith03 what about using pants with a disposable nappy liner? Haven't tried it but it might be cheaper?
