DS (2.5) has had 3 really good days with only 1 accident. We’ve even managed to go to town and the park accident free! What’s the next step? Do we move to using the toilet? He’s been having a nappy overnight, should I try without?

DC2 in due next month so don’t want to start something we can’t crack before his sister arrives.

3 days is great but I would take it slowly. I would just work on him being able to do more himself, make sure the potty is in the toilet, try some car journeys. There is no point trying to train him overnight, you will probably start noticing his nappies are dry over night in the next few months but as I believe it's a hormonal thing, I wouldn't think it was a good idea to try to lift him multiple times overnight to wee.
