Hi, my 3 year old is in nursery has been doing one day a week since September which we pay for. She starts full time nursery this September and they need them to be potty trained she has been potty trained since last summer with wees but has done less than 10 poops on the toilet and refuses to use the potty. I try catching her and putting her on the toilet and tmi but she’ll clench til she doesn’t need to go which isn’t healthy. We’ve tried rewards we’ve tried letting her just sit there for ages waiting ive tried songs etc. Just need some tips on how to get her to poop on the toilet because now she’s backtracking with her wees she’s having little trickles before she actually says she needs a wee then says she needs a wee and doesn’t have one. She’s been dry through the night ever since the beginning and has a few accidents every now and then. It’s just the pooping. We cannot seem to get her to do it. She completely understands cause she’ll tell us big girls poop on the toilet then 5 mins later I’m changing her knickers cause she’s pooped. I’m so lost as for what to do. I really don’t want to make anything worse any help and advice experiences would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

It's very frustrating! Totally understand this. My dd (nearly 4) has no problem with wees since last summer. She was fine with poos for 3 weeks then changed he mind and has not been able to do a poo on the potty or toilet since. We have tried encouragement and not making a big deal about it but Dh and I are now very frustrated when this happens and have been cross with her the last few times which really upset her and I feel so sorry for her. She understands well what to do but has a psychological block about it. She says she will do her poos on the toilet when she has a bigger number (after her bday) but I wish I could move her on now as I'm getting really frustrated so any advice welcome here too!
