Nursery have been on at us for a while to potty train DS, who will be 3 in June, as apparently the rest of his age group have all been out of nappies for a while now. I resisted because I simply didn't think he was ready - he wasn't showing any of the signs that are supposed to signal readiness. We had bought underpants just in case, and some pull-ups.
Yesterday, out of the blue, he wanted to do a poo on the loo, and he did. Lots of praise, a reward, but we had plans to go out so we put him back in a nappy. This morning, same again, so I thought I'd bung him in underpants and have a crack at it. He's been so good about poos but has wet himself 5 times and would quite happily just sit in it.
He's due to go to nursery for the rest of the week. Do we send him in with underpants, nappies or pull-ups (or all three) now? I feel like pull-ups would be a step backwards, but maybe he still isn't ready? It's all just a bit unplanned and disorganised
