Hi !

My daughter will be 2 in a couple of weeks, she keeps asking to pee in the toilet, she isn’t interested in the potty.
We have been sitting her on the toilet but nothing happens no matter how long we sit, she then gets up and pees in a nappy or on the floor.
She doesn’t want to wear a nappy, she tells me when she’s done a poo but not a pee.
Is it possible she still doesn’t exactly know when she needs to go?

Could someone give me some tips on how to best to go forward. Nursery have said send her in with lots of leggings and pants and they’ll continue whatever we begin at home. I just don’t want to try her too early even if she thinks she’s ready herself!

Thanks in advance.

My DD trained at 22mo. All pretty easy and she wasn't anywhere near as advanced as your DD.

I'd recommend reading Oh Crap which recommends training between 20 and 30 months so it's not too early at all. It's also good if you've got Nursery on board but I would say spend a few days close to home training then send her in in leggings but no knickers for a few weeks yet - the book will explain it all if you can get/download it.

Good luck!

Thank you! I’ll have a look for oh crap! I’ve seen a few people recommend it, thanks again x
