DD will be 3 in a month. She'll be starting preschool in April so really want to get her potty trained by then. We've had a potty around for months and she is quite happy to wee in the potty. However she has never done a poo in the potty, and now that we have decided to go full pelt with the potty training she refuses to do a poo in the potty, gets very upset, screams, has tantrum and only want's to do it in a nappy. It's probably our fault that we didn't start properly potty training months ago when she first started weeing in it. I guess our approach was too relaxed (2nd time parents and knackered - but no excuse). I don't know what the preschools policy is with toilet training, but it is a preschool rather than a nursery so I feel that they will be expected to toilet themselves. We've tried rewards and she knows she'll get a chocolate treat if she does it but doesn't seem to make a difference. It's got to the point now that she seems to be holding in her poo and now hasn't done a poo for a couple of days which is obviously quite worrying. Just don't know how to get round this. Help please!
