DD is 2.5 she's been showing all the signs that she is ready so we thought we'd give it a try however since starting yesterday she just wont use the potty - to me she seems scared. She has only managed to do two wees on it then every other time has just been on the floor. She sits on it for ages saying she needs a wee then she gets up & wee's all over the floor.

Really not sure what to do. Do i just keep at it? Any ideas anyone?

If she says she needs a wee and sits on it, it sounds like it's the pressure of having to release. So you need to take the pressure away. One thing that really helped my DD was listening for the wee (and singing a listening for the wee song Grin) just to focus on something else. She also spent a lot of time in the toilet with me and DH listening for our wees!

If she really doesn't like the potty, you could introduce the toilet with a step and seat insert. DD quite quickly used to choose the toilet over the potty.
