Following for tips if someone replies!

2 year old DD seems ready but with a newborn, I need all the help I can get!

You needs cues from her that she is ready!! Does she tell you when she has had a wee?
Have you got a potty to leave casually around?

Definitely read the Oh Crap book! Her signs of readiness are: between 20 and 30 months, can have a tantrum, can follow a simple instruction.

Dolly I did it when DD was 22mo and DS was 6 weeks. Not the most fun week but really not as bad as I was expecting!

@teaandbiscuitsforme oh wow! That’s reassuring thank you!

I’m going to get that book and have a read over Christmas and crack on with it in January.

My daughter will have phases of being really on it and letting me know to not being at all concerned. Hopefully with a bit of structure, we’ll crack it fast!

That's a really good sign Jolly Xmas Smile My daughter didn't have a clue when we started; she just knew she didn't want nappies any more! The book is a lifesaver. It's a bit over the top American so ignore that bit but it's a quick read and made a lot of sense to me.

Good luck!
