Complete regression since starting school

So my 4.5 year old was completely dry before starting school. Since September he has been wetting. He still goes for a poo in the toilet and also wipes his own bottom. It started with a wet patch on his pants after collection from the childminders. Now I collect him 2 days a week from school and the childminder 3 and every time I get him he is completely soaked through. I’m having to bath him or shower him sometimes three times a day at the weekend. There are sore patches on the top of his thighs where they are always wet. Occasionally School change him into dry clothes but generally don’t notice.

Any advice? I’m at the end of tether. We’ve tried reminding once an hour when at home and a reward chart so far and neither have worked.

Use pullups, at least until his sores heal, and book a gp appointment to rule out am infection or worms. Try to keep a record of when he drinks and pees and start doing toilet visits each half hour.

Have you asked your CM for advice?

My daughter did this.
She was a duck to water potty training and as soon as she got too school she regressed.
I would go to school early and get her to go to the toilet.
I made the teacher aware so she would be lenient as he may be scared/ nervous to ask to go.
As CM to remind him to go.
You can get potty training watches also that prompt the child to go every so often to get them into a routine again.
We also did a star reward chart which my daughter really liked.

He will get back to where he was in time.
I can still remember the frustration so clearly but it will get better. Try not to worry.
