Any advice? We're on Day 7 and took two short trips over the weekend, resulting in wet pants just as we came home. Otherwise all going well with self initiation and no.2's etc. We have a half hour music class on Fri which we have paid for and I'd hate to miss it. I'm not going to go back to nappies now so just need confidence I think to be able to handle the accidents away from the home/I'm he car.

Do you have a potty in the car? I'd leave the house once you've successfully had a wee, go to your class and then try for a wee before you get back in the car. Friday is another 3 days away - a long time in potty training time! Grin

I think just go for it. If you put it off, it might become more of a thing. You have to get on with normal life as well!

Thanks TeaAndBiscuits, you're right about not making it a thing. I just need to get my big girl pants on and get on with it! After staying indoors most of this past week I have cabin fever and I've lost the plot a bit! Confused

We staryed trips out after 4 days, starting with little forays, and getting him used to toilet stops in public toilets. We had accidents on quite a few trips initially (even though he had it totally nailed at home). It took a while to feel confident about it (and lose the fear of accidents - they happen, it's not the end of the workd), It's taken him about three weeks to start telling me he needs the toilet when we are out of the house rather than waiting for me to prompt him or having accidents.

Thanks Bubbins, I totally get the fear of accidents and you're right, it's a confidence thing. Thankfully the last two outings have gone well so going to keep going and just build it up bit by bit. Will still order a weekly shop online though for now!
