Should I put my 5.5yo back into pull-ups at night?

I am really tired and not sure I'm capable of making sensible decisions at the minute.

DS has been dry at night since just before he turned four - his choice, it was pretty painless and while of course he's had accidents in that time, they were generally once a month or less.

Over the last 3ish months, they've become much more frequent, maybe averaging 3 nights a week.

I'm pretty certain he's not constipated. He usually drinks only water. He always goes to the toilet before bed. I can't think what else there is to try, and I get that he's not in control of it.

I am 12 weeks pregnant (he doesn't know so I don't think it relates to that, plus I think the bedwetting slightly predates the pregnancy), single, and working in a demanding job. I cannot cope with being woken this often to deal with wet sheets.

Should I put him back in pull-ups at night? I don't want to undermine his confidence in this, and I also don't want to entrench the weeing in his sleep thing. And he has been dry at night for eighteen months, so it feels weird to suddenly say 'oh, he's not ready after all'. But that's what it feels like, and pull-ups feel like a practical response.

Oh - I also still have his old cloth nappies he used to wear at night. Maybe they would be better than pull-ups, in terms of him still feeling that he's wet?

Could it possibly be a UTI? Or school worries?

I'm not sure cloth nappies will help with your sleep-deprivation. If he can feel the wetness he may still wake you!

Thanks Total. Silly question Blush - how would I know if it was a UTI - do I just take him to the GP?
