Day 2! Am I wasting my time?

My little boy will be 2 in a few weeks. He's been telling me when he's weed- wiping himself, not liking wet wipes. Yesterday I decided to try him on the potty- 2 wees in the potty on the trot! Great! Made a fuss, gave him
Chocolate. Then 7 accidents then another in the potty just as hubby got back from work- because I sat him on there at the right time. Nappy overnight. Then this morning caught him straining so sat him on the potty- got a poop in the potty! Made a fuss- he kept saying oh no so tried to reassure him. But then first wee of the day on the floor- no signs- just weed there on the floor. I just don't know whether to carry on or whether it's too soon?! I've set aside a few days at home to try it out- shall I stick it out?!

It'll take a lot longer than a few days, but it will happen. Try to relax and not worry. He's still quite little so if you do give up it's not the end of the world. I'd keep giving him opportunities to try though.

Thanks. I'm gonna give it the next couple days I think. Maybe he'll get it. Don't mind the accidents if some success inbetween. He just did it on the floor again. He wasn't bothered by it so not sure he's getting it?

He is still quite little, so don't worry if you aren't successful. Keep the potty out if you are, it seems like a mountain but it will happen in the end!

Persevere it will take time for him to always use the toilet successfully. Praise every success ( not sure about chocolate reward ) but he will get used to using a potty & toilet over time.

It's on hold! Not a single wee in there today. Then wrestled to get him to Poo in there and there was blood in it. I think he's been straining. I feel terrible!!!
