I have no idea what I'm doing.

We've bought the books, let her choose "big girl pants" and a potty.
She knows that she needs to do her wees and poos in potty or toilet.
She knows she will get a treat if she does.
We sit her on potty at regular intervals but still no luck.

Am I doing it wrong?

She was 3 in June.
She likes the books and seems enthiusiastic (ie she talks about doing her wees and poos in the toilet/potty now)

You could try increasing the amount she drinks so that she needs to wee more frequently - sometimes that helps them get the hang of it. The children I look after usually have water to drink so I introduce some squash for a few days, or things like jelly or watermelon to increase their fluids.

Hopefully she can get one wee in the potty so I can lay on the praise and treats. (sweets at home and stickers in creche).

Try the 'oh crap potty training' method? Strip off so nothing on her bottom half, let her carry on playing as normal, and watch her like a hawk. Then, when she starts weeing, move fast to the potty. The idea is they connect the feeling of weeing with the potty straight away, then start to connect the feeling of needing to wee, and so on. I think the author calls it 'I peed, I'm peeing, I need to pee'. It's high intensity for you as it basically involves you doing nothing but watch your child for a couple of days, but it worked really fast for us.

Another "oh crap" method lover here!
We did it when we had a long weekend available, so we could stay at home (i think it was a long bank holiday weekend).
DS didn't wear pants and after a couple of days he was weeing in the potty on his own. Poos took a bit longer and he preferred using a seat on the loo rather than the potty for poos.

Unfortunately I can't do the oh crap method as she is at creche or being minded for at least some of every day. So I don't have a window of me and her for a few days.
On the plus side she has done a poo in the potty today, so I had the chance to lay on the praise and treat.

Recently potty trained my son who is 3 and half. I just put him straight in underpants and kept asking him all the time did he need a wee ? He said yes almost every time so I put him on the potty, sometimes he'd wee, other times he didn't. He had a couple of days where he went for very long periods without a wee so I started offering him more fluids, luckily as it was warm weather he didnt refuse !!.Then he started telling me he needed a Wee. Only a few accidents in first couple of days. Nursery have similar routine, they would take him every 15-20 mins to potty and they will pretty much go along with the routine started at home. They have been fab.
