My DS whos 6 stayed at MiLs on weekend and woke up with wet pants, MiL has now said if he stays again he must wear pull ups or nappies :( This doesn't seem fair to me?

Can you compromise on a waterproof mattress cover, no drinks an your before bed and my be some of those cloth training pants (that should hold a wee).

That way you aren't making a big deal of it to him but are protecting her mattress.

It depends on how often it happens at home and how often he stays at mils . Our dsd who still wets the bed a lot will have to be in pull ups when she stays at my parents as we can't bring all the bed protection stuff with us and it's not fair when you're a guest to need new bedding every night that has to be washed that day

You could try a waterproof mattress protector or those disposable, absorbent sheets that stick on the bedding.
