My 3 year old son is doing well at potty training when he is wearing nothing on the bottom. But has had accident when wearing big boy pants.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ok, is that because he can't pull them down? Are you reminding him to go? Mine is 3.5 we started serious potty training when he was 3y2m. At the start I needed to remind him everything, if I forgot her wet himself. Now he goes on his own or he stares at me and wiggles! He'll get there!

Ok thanks. Yea I am reminding him. We are only a week in and guess he sometimes gets to invloved with play. Today we had an appointment and he suddenly grabbed at his trousers and we hurried to toilet so I think we turned a corner yesterday :)

Try a few weeks of just trousers, no pants. Underwear can give them the feeling of security like a nappy so commando can be a good idea to lose that association.
