Waterproof Douvet Cover?

Has anyone found a good one that isn't hot / make too much noise?

DS(3) has gotten into a habit of wetting the bed in the early morning because he's "too tired" to get up and use potty and pissing himself/his bed takes a lot less effort It's a massive wee that means douvet is wet too - so I'm looking for a protective cover that'll save my poor washing machine.

My son likes to wrap himself up in his duvet which of course means if he were the bed then it is the duvet that is soaked too.

I got him a real feather and down duvet, I just wash the whole thing in the washing machine then tumble it.

I'm thinking these duvet protectors look good!

We got a pillow and duvet set from amazon and have a mattress protector from Boots. Never needed the pillow but the other two have saved numerous trips to laundrette and new mattresses

My ds has a severe dust mite allergy. I bought a duvet cover protector from an allergy website. It's plastic lined and otherside is terry towelling. However ds stopped using it because it would puff up like a balloon where the air couldn't easily pass through the plastic lining. The duvet would end up scrunched up like a ball inside this balloon. We tried not zipping up the cover but ds is such a wriggler that the duvet would end up coverless.

We now just have 2 decent quality duvets that are fully washable on 60min and tumble dryer proof. The spare one fits inside a pillow case for storage.

Dh just reminded me that when ds stays over with relatives, he sleeps inside the duvet protector like a sleeping bag, saves us having to pack all his bedding.

That could possibly work for you, if the covers were changed quick enough. I imagine that it would be quite waterproof as ds has the same fabric protecting his mattress, it's managed to save the mattress from vomit.
