Has anyone used this book and got any reviews? My little girl will be 3 in August and I want to start potty training over the summer holidays - any advice really appreciated!

I have it, and do think it helps. I have DD (3 in September) and DS (4 months) and have been reading it to DD for a month or so now. Together with the girls potty time book, it has really helped her understand. Princess Polly book is a bit longer whereas girls potty time is much shorter so I guess it depends what your LO's attention span is like!

It's rubbish in my opinion. Ok so the girl does a poo in the end but it's a rubbish story.
Buy a decent book for yourself (I recommend oh crap potty training) and just bite the bullet and potty train. It'll be easier than you think, particularly the sooner that you do it!

Honestly, save your money and just crack on with potty training, the book didn't help in the slightest.

Thanks everyone! I've heard about the oh crap potty training and may get that (I haven't a clue where to start as she's my first) so I would like some help and guidance.
Will give the book for her a miss though!

Honestly get it and read it. Set a date soon and do it!
It's very American (and I wasn't convinced this wouldn't be awful and difficult) but the plan really works. It's key points are about absolute consistency and not rushing to underwear (feels too similar to nappies).
You and your child can do this!

Mine loved it. We bought that and a potty, read the book for a few days and didn't mention her trying it. She just got on the potty and did it first time.

Animated version on you tube to watch, just search princess polly

Thanks everyone! We've decided to start when she breaks up from preschool for the summer as she'll be at home more with someone who can focus/work with her so easier to manage and more consistency!
Fingers crossed it's a success!!!

I agree with Nano, Oh Crap is a brilliant book. You do need to be able to spend a couple of days close to home so summer hols sounds like a good idea. Good luck!
