AIBU- toddler peeing in tesco

Today whilst shopping in my local tesco, i walked down an isle to see a little girl (2-3) getting off a potty and pulling her pants up. This was in the middle of the shop and i was shocked so i walked away. (In the mothers defence , it was in the baby isle.)

I saw the mother a few times walking around whilst i was waiting to go into the changing room as in this store somebody has to unlock the door for you to go in. When i came out, the mother took the little girl into the room to, i imagine, have a wee rather than take her to the toilet in store.

Should i have reported it or spoke to the mother as i'm yet to start potty training with my little boy.

To those who said what did she do with the contents- when she was down the isle i dont think the girl got to go because i walked down and i didnt see her come out of the changing room as i walked off but i hope she took the "contents" with her and did not leave them in the changing room

OP that's gross! YANBU.

That's how you potty train a child

I've potty trained three children and never done this. I don't know anyone else who does it either.

Just to be clear I'm NOT the mother i would rush my boy to the toilet when we start training

I managed to potty train 2 children without once letting them pee in the middle of a shop, let alone a food shop. So no, it's not 'how you potty train'!

I agree re. Pull ups. If we were going somewhere where I knew the toilets were either going to be non existent or gross, I popped him in a pull up.

You seem overly invested op considering you have two identical threads about this at the same time Grin

miniloco · 25/06/2017 11:12

Not what i would do but perhaps she was worried child would wet themselves if she asked them to wait?

miniloco · 25/06/2017 11:13

Although that doesn't explain using the changing room. That's a bit weird.
