Potty training

My youngest will be 2 in July and we're due a new baby November, id like to get him potty trained before baby comes and also sleeping with his cot sides down in his brothers room as little room will be nursery

Any advice on how to start?!

I have two weeks off in august so was thinking to do it then?

My eldest is nearly seven so I've completely forgotten how I did it then!

I'm planning to start potty training too soon but did it with girls before so it will be a bit different with ds. With girls they wore a skirt and no pants to start with so it was easy for them to understand that they couldn't wee in a nappy. And after they had managed that for about 3 days in a potty I then tried terry towelling pants for a few days, then after they managed not to wet those I moved onto proper pants and going out of the home more often. HTH.
