Best pants for DD?

DD is 2.5 and I suspect we will attempt potty training in the next month or so.

I've bought pants for her from a couple places which she has tied on (not for long) but they all seem to irritate her. All young girls pants seem to have that frill round the top which my DD finds very uncomfortable and itchy? Have I just been unlucky with the ones I have picked up?

I think she would get on better wth the 'hipster/Brazilian/boxer' type pants which just have an elasticated waist without the frills. They are much more expensive though and I'll obviously need quite a stash when potty training!!

What pants did your DD of a similar age get on best with?
