My DS4 has been out of nappies since july last year! With wees he is completely fine and is dry through the night too and has no problems. Its poos where he is struggling! He'll get the odd one in the toilet but majority of them are still being done in his pants! I'm at my wits end! And feeling very stressed over the whole situation! He seems to understand the poo should go in the toilet (we read poo goes to pooland daily) but they still end up in his pants. Rewards don't seem to work for him! Has anyone got any hope that he will stop this! He is starting school this September and i don't see it stopping before then!! Please help!

My daughter was the exact same so I know how stressful and disheartening it can be, I almost reverted back to pull ups a few months ago but her nursery reassured me it would pass and it has finally!!

She came out of pull ups during the day in Feb 2016 but didn't start pooing in the toilet until Dec! Nursery suggested not to even acknowledge the accident, just "let's go to the toilet" and clean up/change without discussing it or making eye contact with her and after about 3 weeks of this it just clicked.

Ill try that and see! Thank you for reassurance! Its so disheartening and i feel so sorry for him. I try not to get annoyed with him but it can be so hard at times Sad
