Is is right?

We are trying to potty train today my ds is 3 mid March. He has wees on potty and or toilet when asked but has rarely asked. Today I have just been putting him on the potty every hour or hour and a half and he has had a wee every time some big some small. We went outside to play for almost 3 hours and he had a small accident. Am I doing it right? Should I wait till he asks? So clueless.

If you are making progress then you are doing it right.

I would take him to the toilet every 2 hours, especially if he's playing as he'll be distracted. Accidents are part of the learning process though, and there's not one way to do things.
