Our DD is almost three and bright as a button. She's appeared to have "cracked" potty training a number of times and then she'll regress, having days from hell with six or more accidents, looking us straight in the eye, smirking as she's doing it in her pants. We're running out of patience (and clothes)! We've tried frequent reminders, reward charts, ignoring and removal of screen time.

And nothing's working... Suggestions???? ConfusedConfusedConfused

Pullups - don't go back to nappies (except at night) but go back a step over the busy Xmas period and then try again once things have calmed down a bit.

Potty training is easier in Summer than Winter as you can dry the clothes and they can be near naked most of the time.

Leave the potty or whatever you are using still around, in time she may do some on it herself. Reward with praise when she does. Ignore the times she doesn't. Do still remind her and suggest she tries going at the usual times you would before, such as before going out.

It's a backward step but you don't want to battle over it. She want's to do it in pants... well do so then but it has to be in the pullups not the nice knickers. After a few weeks she may get bored of that and want to wear knickers again, so you can suggest going shopping to buy some nice new ones and try again.

Stop now and start again in the summer. 'Nearly 3' is 2 - she's still so young.
