This might be the wrong forum.
My DS is nearly 8 months and for the past 6 weeks will poo pretty much everytime he is in the water.
He has a shallow sit bath first thing every morning to wash the nights urine away and a proper bath as part of the bedtime routine.
I can sometimes avoid the morning poo by waiting it out but the evening one seems unavoidable. Tried holding him over the loo but he's so quick!!! What would you do?

My DS did the same almost every bath time at that age. A colleague's DS did the same. This behaviour followed a month of only pooping when in the car. The phase lasted only about a month... so hopefully it will resolve itself soon if it hasn't already!

He's he only looking in the bath, or looking when the nappy comes off?

FfS I'll try that again...

Is he only pooing in the bath, or is he pooing when the nappy comes off?

My dd used to do this, I think it's the nice warm water round the tum

Unfortunately this is very common, especially when they're very young. Is it approximately the same amount of time into each bath? If so you could try putting a reusable swim nappy onto him until he has done his poo, then take it off and wash him properly Xx
