I'd be grateful for a bit of advice regarding potty training my DS who is 2.8yr old. I'm not sure how to proceed!

We started last week and at home with no trousers on he is pretty reliable and dry- he seemed to get it really quickly and loves going to the potty. However, as soon as he has trousers/ pants on then he refuses to sit on the potty and then has the inevitable accidents. He refuses with screaming etc.

Also when we're out he won't sit on a toilet to try and then has the inevitable accidents. We do have a Potette to try but he hasn't wanted to so far.

Do these things mean he's not ready? I'm happy to leave it for a bit but I'm just a bit confused what to do as he totally gets it at home but it's when trousers/ outside situations are introduced he doesn't. Is that something that will come with time?

Many thanks!

put him in no pants and a pair of shorts, See if that helps.

He sounds ready, but gettign confused with pants and nappies.
