My daughter is 2 years old and i was wondering if she was showing signs of being ready for potty training. She hates wearing a nappy and rips it off any chance she can get, she knows when shes peed or peeing and when shes done a poo but she cant say she needs to go, she runs about without a nappy on for about an hour and wont pee on the floor but when she does pee she tells me and its only a little dribble but she cleans it up and washes her hands, she knows how to wipe herself, she will sit on the potty but she isnt sure of what to do, if she isnt ready what signs should i look out for?

Personally I would keep on with the nappy off for an hour each day. Then when she has started to wee and poo in potty you can progress to trying pants. Does sound like she is showing signs of being ready though.

Give it a go. What's the worst that could happen, a few wet clothes, and you go back to nappies/ pull ups if she isn't progressing.
Might be worth investing in some of the reusable training pants - bambino do some, but there are other brands too. Cotton inside do feel wet to them, but they have a plastic layer inside, so if there are just a few dribbles, saves the carpets.
