Potty training incentive ideas - when a sticker/reward chart won't work!

Just wondering if anyone has any incentive suggestions for 2.5 yo DS. Fairly stubborn, not interested in reward or sticker charts (has never really got the idea of them), trying to think of a goal for him to associate with. Apart from going out and jumping in more puddles (which he LOVES) but unfortunately means breaking the training time! Attempting to try and crack it this week! Any things that worked well for anyone? Thanks so much

Instead of a sticker chart I got my DD some glow in the dark dinosaur wall stickers. Everytime she did anything on the potty she got to choose a sticker (they were all different) and then she got to stick it on her wall. At bedtime we turned off her lights and counted them all up and talked about how well she'd done and how the next day it would be so exciting to get some more stickers for her wall. Was a lovely way to end the day celebrating the successes.

We've gone for a rubber stamp to put ink on her hand and she can choose which one to have. Not making much progress but it is sufficient incentive that she'll sit on it to get a stamp.

Chocolate and haribo. Blush but it worked.

Thank everyone - this is really helpful. Really good to have some other incentives. And yes, if it's not working we'll stop and try again later - as you say it is pretty young

We did chocolate buttons. It worked for us! Tbh DD didn't even always remember to collect, but the excitement of being allowed one was enough!
