So our son is 25 months and last Thursday at childminders he took his trousers and nappy off and successfully went for a wee in the potty without prompting.
(background info: the childminder has a little girl there who is almost 27 months and has been fully trained since summer so my son has been watching her and I think he now gets the idea)
So yesterday morning at home he took his trousers and nappy off and we just told him to use the potty if he needed to, not really prompting. We had 2 wees in the potty and one in the toilet. Today we decided to leave him with nappy off and two wees in potty and one in toilet.
We did put him in a nappy when he went out to the park and he is having a nap now and obviously has a nappy on.
So wise people where should we go from here? Do you think we could carry on with the nappy for going out/nap and bare bottom at home for a while? Should I try him in pants at home, I have some training ones?
I know he is still very tiny so I don't want to push him but it would be rather convenient if he did train now as I am due baby number 2 start of next spring so it would be good if it was fully done and he was totally used to it by then.
Thanks in advance for any tips/experience.
