Potty training and preschool

We are on day 3 of potty training my ds 2.7 year old. My DS is still having accidents but is enjoying using the potty and wearing pants. He needs prompting to use the potty but we can tell he needs it as he hops around and holds himself.
My ds initiated the training as he has been showing interest in using a potty for some time and this weekend refused to wear a nappy & was pulling off his nappy too. We have one more day at home tomorrow, but then he is scheduled to go to preschool on Wednesday and Thursday morning, for 3 hours. My question is do I send him in pull ups or will this confuse him? I'm not even sure if she will wear them but am worried that he will get upset if he has an accident in his pants at pre school.
I also have a 9 month old and we go swimming whilst DS is at preschool so I kind of need to send him. I wasn't planning on potty training him now so am just trying to work out what to do. Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks v much!

How about terry lined waterproof trainer pants? If you've been using disposables I would think these will seem enough like real pantsnot to confuse him but make things a bit easier int he case of an accident if you send some spares. Good luck.
