What do I do next?

We started with 2.5 old ds on Good Friday and he's pretty much dry and clean 90% of the time - still have a few accidents. He's doing really well :-) BUT he only goes when we take him to the potty. He doesn't feel the need to go and tell us. But if we say 'potty time!' Accompanied by our potty dance he'll go.
So I'm asking how do we move on to him knowing he needs to go?

Keep on asking him and reminding him. It will come eventually.

Our ds only really got it without prompting after a few days of bottom half nakedness (at home ) once he got the feeling and knowing himself we added pants, then trousers. It didn't take too long, a few days at most. Good luck.
