Potty training and shoes

My apparently potty trained DS (aged 3.7) has had a load of accidents in the past few days. (He's had some anxiety at nursery which we are dealing with - however this thread is about other practicalities). He only has some canvas shoes, wellies and leather shoes. All have been peed on - despite washing the canvas and the wellies are still a bit pongy, his "best" leather shoes smell like they belong to a tramp. Any ideas or recommendations on cleaning or other other shoes we'll be a bit stuck tomorrow if I can't figure something out.

Mine wore Crocs for the "accidents stage". Not v practical in winter though. I was going to suggest wellies, or canvas shoes that could go in the washing machine.

I know there are some fleecy crocs online which might be worth it. The wellies are like wee buckets and he removed the laces from the canvas plimsolls so he could use them for craft-making .

I Bought more shoes! But when he wees on his nice pair, don't put heat anywhere near them as it seals the smell in - just rinse and leave to dry naturally with newspaper scrunched up inside. If still smelly, try leaving outside in rain and shine; the elements sort out most smells I find!

Oh, and I'm trying to ensure he wears washable slippers at nursery.
