I trained my twins at 2.5yrs old;daughter got it immediately. Son is total nightmare, occasional days where he is clean and dry are a rarity. He doesn't seem to get signals to go to toilet and is frequently damp and most days on collection from school, he is wet. If he isn't reminded/nagged to go to the toilet, he is constantly wet. Not infrequently, he will start a poo in his pants. They were born prematurely(27 wks) but I really am at my wits end.
Should he see a specialist? Where should I turn?

I would make an appointment with your GP and ask for a referral to a continence clinic. I had similar problems with my 4 yr old dd and was advised to cut out blackcurrant squash. Was also advised to get her to drink plenty of water to train her bladder. She's been dry for 4 months now but occasionally has the odd accident at home mainly when she's tired.

My 4.5 dd has to be constantly nagged too.

It can be an indicator or a problem so you could see your go or it can be laziness (my dd!).
