Potty training - toddler getting upset

Ds is nearly 26 months and we started the gina ford potty training method yesterday afternoon. So far nothing on potty, lots of accidents in pants. GF says to take to potty every 15 mins but this is now upsetting ds, even though he gets to look at ipad when on potty. Also there is a sticker chart which he is aware of, and a special toy for the first time he uses it.

Just now we went to potty, he sat there but was a bit upset. Came off it and within 5 mins had an accident. What should I do, just keep Reminding him? I don't want him to be upset and feel this would be counter productive.

I would wait until he's older. Both my boys were over 2.5 years before we even started

We started with about an hour or more in front of the telly on the potty with a couple of cups of juice and he then actually did a wee so was aware what it felt like.
He's about 6 months older though and doesn't get sticker charts. He likes them on his hand though. We also had a few days of not wanting to stay on the potty so I gave a sticker for sitting through 3 counts to 20 (about a minute) until the beeps went. But again, he's older, and can count.

We've had 2 wees on the potty but I have stopped taking him every 15 mins, just asking if he needs it every so often
