Son shows no interest in potty or loo. Has older sister (now 4.8 yo) who potty trained easily at 2.9 and has been daytime dry ever since, nighttime dry for last 4 months - again no issues at all).

We've tried everything - treats, stickers - he screams as soon as we ask if he wants to go to the loo. About once a week during bath time he climbs out and will have a wee on the potty but that's it.

His nursery are despairing as well and we were considering moving into the nursery at his sister's school but they refused because they only take potty trained 3 year olds.

Just adding a note of solidarity. My DD is 3.6 and steadfastly refuses to try. We've given it a go a few times but she got very upset about having accidents (even though we said it was nothing to worry about). She won't wear underpants (not even over her nappy) and pretty much refuses to go without a nappy for longer than it takes to get from her room to the bath. It's frustrating but I'm hoping everyone who has said "it will happen when she's ready" is right.

Have you tried to just put the process on hold for a bit and not even mention it for a few weeks/months?

Good luck to you.

Give it up completely and don't make an issue of it and see where you are in a month or so. I think in general boys come to it later than girls and to be honest there are lots of kids who are "potty trained" but are actually having lots of accidents and would probably have been better off waiting for a while IME. I couldn't even start to train ds before 3.6 for mobility reasons and in a way I'm glad. Dd got it much younger without too much effort. Good luck.
