Wiping?

How old were your dc when they managed to wipe themselves? Ds is is 3.9 and has been out of nappies for a while now. Reliably pees in toilet but would only poo in a potty until today (woohoo!!)
Anyway, he is starting nursery next week, will most other children manage by themselves at this age or will they be used to kids needing help?

my 6 year old has only recently started wiping, my daughter was 4 before she learnt.
some places are stricter than others, but a lot of pre-schools won't mind child who can't wipe.
