What is this on the back of our pull-up pants?

Hello Everyone,

My son has recently moved into size 6 Pampers, they are pull up pants with Dora the Explorer on them.

On the back of the pants there is this long sticky piece of plastic. It's mostly transparent and then blue at one end. It puts me in mind of those stick on book marks you can use to mark pages in a book.

I'm probably being incredibly thick here, but I can't work out what it's for. It doesn't come off without damaging the nappy.

I've looked on the Pampers website page for this product, but the little strip isn't mentioned.

Please help a thicko out.

It's to hold the nappy closed when you roll it after a change. :o
