Son deciding when to potty train?

My son is 2y10mo. A the start of the year he seemed to have some control over pee - we were in a hot climate and he managed to do it in garden after a swim. Since then he seemed to have lost interest a bit and we havent pushed the issue plus we moved house etc.

Today, however, he has taken off his nappy and refusing to put it back on- even for a nap. We convinced him to sit on the potty and after doing nothing he made a pee in his pants about 5 min later while walking about.

I was planning to give it a try over the summer but caught off guard to do it today! Weather doesn't look too bad for the week and nanny can help while I am at work.

Shall I give it a go? How much should I presevere? I find these things really stresful!

There's no harm in trying, just be relaxed about it, if he starts getting the idea great, or not there is plenty of time to try again.

Just try and make sure he has no clothes on from the waist down it will make it easier for him to remember when to go. For the next few weeks try not pants and trousers at home.
