Alternative to DryNites

My DD 6.5 is in DryNites every night but they are too expensive. Does anyone know of any ordinary nappies that are suitable for older kids, are cheaper and don't leak?

I have no experience but I think I read somewhere that if they're over a certain age you can get something similar on prescription?

My 5 year old wears the largest size supermarket brands. He fits into both Tescos size 6 or asda 6+, although he is very skinny. My 14 year old is still in drynites and it costs a bomb so I'm keeping my youngest in normal nappies for as long as possible.
