I just have to share as I'm over the moon....

DD is 4 and we have been trying to potty train her for the past year without success. She just seemed scared of the toilet for some reason. Both the nursery & I had tried different ways to encourage her but nothing worked.

It's not all been her fault though as I have been in and out of hospital the past year which meant we kept stopping and starting potty training. Although the nursery kept at it during the times I was in hospital. There was no consistency at home which I think must have confused DD a lot :(

Anyway despite all of this chaos it has been 3 days & DD has been telling me when she wants to go toilet and we have moved out of pull ups to panties :) all the credit goes to DD for this. I'm soooooooo proud of her

Thank you venus and yes it has been & what was scarring me more was her starting reception in September and being in pull-ups!!!

I'm so pleased my eyes filled up, well done! I'm still waiting for my DS 3.9 yrs and this has given me hope, thank you

Hurrah! This gives me hope for my poo phobic 4.2 year old who is also starting school in spent! Well done your DD. I can fully sympathise with the nightmare you have had and am looking forward to the feeling I will get when mine does the same!
