Hi all,

DS is almost 20 mo and I am thinking of starting to potty train him. Is it too early? He has started telling me when he is about to poo - he says 'poo poo' and goes and lies down on the changing mat :) He's done this a few times now, so I thought maybe it's time..

How do I go about this? Does h start with doing a poo on the potty and then learn how to pee or does it happen all at once? Also, I work full time and he goes to a childminder 4 days a week - so I cannot start till I get a buy in from her right?

What do I need to buy apart from a potty? Any books that you can recommend?

Thanks !! :)

Hi I am currently potty training my 20 month dd too. Child care shouldn't be an issue dd nursery r fine and take her to potty regularly throughout the day. She started with ewes first but they r all different arnt they. Google it like mad I wouldn't buy a book (personal choice). Good luck.
