I started potty training DD (23mo) this weekend. We have been doing wees in the potty for a couple of months, but only in the evenings at home. This week we finally switched to knickers, and she's done great - hardly any accidents, always tells me when she needs to go, and can wait longer than 5 seconds iyswim.

Anyway, the problem is she seems to cluster wee. We were in ASDA today for an hour, and she asked to go 4 times! She went twice, then on the third time I didn't believe her was sceptical so didn't take her - she had an accident Blush. The fourth time I took her and she did another one. The first thing she did when she got home was get her potty out as well!

She almost always does one, and can go a few hours inbetween, so she's not constantly at the toilet.

Is this normal behaviour? And if it is, when will she bloody grow out of it? It's fecking inconvenient to have to spend half the day making trips to the toilet!

I can't add anything meaningful, but I'm in the same situation with DD. She did a wee first thing when she woke up, then nothing until about an hour ago. She's been about 5 times in the last hour. It's like she isn't emptying her bladder fully?

Yeah it is. I thought maybe she was doing it as a way of getting extra praise (we give stickers), but I'm not sure. She also seems to have a sticking point about poos. Have you managed to get your DD to do those on the potty yet?

She's always pooed on the potty. No problems at all! I knows it's usually a massive problem (it was for DS) but she has been great.
Had a bad day of it today though. Wee'd 3 times in the garden!
