DD2 is taking her nappy off and weeing in her sister's bed during the night/from bedtime onward. She was wearing nappies and could take them off so I put her in pull ups so they could be used again as she was ripping new nappies. She is soaking sheets, duvets and the carpet (which is about six months old). I tried putting a potty in her room but she's weeing in it and then weeing in the bed again. So far in the last two weeks I've washed the duvet and bedding 10 times.

We hadn't actually realised what was going on until the smell in their room got quite intense.

Please any ideas how to fix this? Dd2 is 21 months and she is trying to use the potty during the day. She says toilet when she wants to go but she doesn't always do anything. She tells me when she's done a poo in her nappy and sometimes she tells me in time to go do it in the toilet.

Tie her nappy back to front.
Also put a clip in her clothes so she can't get to her nappy.

I'm wondering if you're starting a bit too early.
More hugs?

Reward her for keeping her room dry.

Good luck with it all

Thank you.

I haven't actively started her, we've had the potty hanging around from dd1 and she saw us and her using the toilet and started sitting on the potty.

I think she's showing signs of readiness it's just the way she's expressing it is frustrating to say the least. I don't want to impede her trying to go to the toilet, I just want to teach her to go in the right place and not in her sister's bed and on the carpet!

I would put a vest with poppers under on her at night so she can't undress and take the potty out of the room maybe and just suggest she use it in the day. Get yourself some sleep and less washing! She won't be ready at night for some time if she's not dry in the day yet.
