Any experiences? I remember with ds his eczema flared up a lot by day 2. I nearly gave up :(

dds eczema is a lot worse. I'm thinking of waiting till the next heat wave and going in the garden all day, but would love tips on anything I should do or not do.

It depends on the child and the severity.

My daughter's was severe. I ended up delaying it far longer than her older siblings because she was wearing special coveralls to prevent infection. When she and her skin were ready, it was still hard - she'd scratch a lot while she sat there, but as long as she was in scratch sleeves before and after and was well creamed, it seemed to work well. Other than that, it's just like my other kids - time and patience and eventually we're dry by day and mostly dry at night (I find she's taking a lot longer to be dry by night, possibly because her medication, pyjama pants have been far more important for her).
