my dd is 2.2years old and has been leading in potty training since just before Christmas (had every intention of waiting till the summer). I have been doing it no pressure telling her how good she is when she asks for the potty and uses it and we are almost 100% dry BUT I can't take her out of nappies as she refuses to poo in a potty/toilet and happily has accidents on the odd time I have put her in pants with poo's. I would love some tips on encouraging her to use the potty for poo's. I have tried having a conversation with her and explaining, I have told her she will get a large button for a poo in the potty but she won't entertain the idea at all. she liked some butterfly pants in the supermarket the other week so I bought them and said that if she wore them she would have to use the potty like a big girl even for poo's which seemed to agree to, until she did a poo! I work 4days a week so she goes to either my mum of a childminder on the days I work.

I don't have any advice but can say that this is such a common problem that many of my friends have experienced. With all of them it was just a case of waiting and enduring the poopy pants.

I'm intrigued that she is dry when still in nappies. Can I go off thread and ask how that works? Smile
