my Ds is 2.10 months and ive started potty training him.

The main reason is because pampers are the only brand that work for him and the biggest size are too small and he is leaking out the sides. He has spoken about weeing in the potty at nursery and tells me his pull ups are going in the bin etc. last night he did a wee and a poo on the potty which is excellent but now he is saying no to the potty and had wet himself 3 times already and then cries.

I feel like Im pushing him too early because of nappy sizing issues? Also what do I do when we have to go out?

Any help welcomed!

I potty trained both mine at around 2 and a half. I was waiting for the moment when I would know that they were ready-but it didn't really happen, so I decided to be proactive. With the use of chocolate buttons, stickers and reward charts I got DS clean and dry in three weeks. Dd took a bit longer.

Best think to do is just get some 'big boy' pants, tell him how grown up he is and just do it. You ideally need a few days when you be close to home, just being practical but also get a travel potty and take several changes of pants, trousers etc. for going out. Most people have done it themselves so understand.

It wasn't that bad with my two, lots of praise obviously when he gets it right and no telling off when it goes wrong.
